One very popular religious holiday is Christmas. This holiday is celebrated on December 25, which is the birthday of Jesus Christ. During the festive time of year, many people go to church services in honor of Christ. Also many decorations are set up and many gifts are bought. December 25 is also know as winter solstice and no one is 100 percent sure that December 25 is the actual date that Jesus Christ was born. Today, most houses that celebrate Christmas have a big Christmas tree which they out there presents under. The Christmas tree is a Christmas tradition of putting up an evergreen tree in ones house in honor of winter solstice. Another tradition on Christmas is Santa Clause. Sanata Clause is a mythical human that, on December 24, Christmas Eve, comes to all the childrens houses and brings them the presents that they wanted. Even though Santa is a myth, the parent will buy extra presants and buy what the children asked Santa for, and out those present under the tree late on Christmas Eve so the children will wake up and believe that in fact, Santa had come to their house.
