Outside Reading #3
The article that i read was named "Gas prices drop: Closing in on $3". It is about how the average gas price around the United States is dropping to close to 3 dollars a gallon. The reason for the lowering gas prices is because it is getting close to the end of hurricane season and the demand weakens as the economy slows. There are 6 states that have made it lower then $3. These 6 states are Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Oklahoma, where the average price is about $2.83. Alaska and Hawaii are at the highest average price of about $4.00. It is supposed to reach even lower within the next month. For more information go to http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/12/news/economy/gas_prices/index.htm?postversion=2008101215
